Die soziale Unruhe am Vorabend der M\u00e4rzrevolution von 1848 macht auch vor den preu\u00dfischen J\u00fcd:innen nicht halt. Nur ein Viertel von ihnen hatte bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt die Staatsb\u00fcrgerschaft erhalten, in den meisten Universit\u00e4tsf\u00e4chern durften sie keine Professuren erhalten, aus den meisten Staats\u00e4mtern waren sie ausgeschlossen und obwohl sie als einfache Soldaten in der Armee k\u00e4mpfen und sterben durften, blieb ihnen die Bef\u00f6rderung zu Offizier verwehrt.<\/p>

Kein Wunder also, dass die demokratischen Ideen der M\u00e4rzrevolution unter den preu\u00dfischen J\u00fcd:innen auf fruchtbaren Boden fielen: Moritz Steinschneider, einer der wichtigsten Bibliografen und Orientalisten seiner Zeit, k\u00e4mpfte selbst auf den Barrikaden. Rabbiner Michael Sachs hielt zusammen mit katholischen und evangelischen Geistlichen eine Trauerrede f\u00fcr die M\u00e4rzgefallenen auf dem Gendarmenmarkt am 22.03.1848. Der Druckergeselle Julius Brill wurde als einer der wenigen Juden und Arbeiter in die preu\u00dfischen Nationalversammlung gew\u00e4hlt, bevor er schlie\u00dflich ins Exil gehen musste.<\/p>

Zum 175. Jubil\u00e4um der M\u00e4rzrevolution erinnern wir an die j\u00fcdischen Revolution\u00e4r:innen von 1848.<\/strong><\/p>

Zum Gedenken der M\u00e4rzrevolution bietet die Stiftung Neue Synagoge Berlin \u2013 Centrum Judaicum
an den Eintrittsfreien Sonntagen (April bis Juli) jeweils eine thematische F\u00fchrung durch Mitte zu J\u00fcd:innen im \u201eDeutschen M\u00e4rz“ an.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
